Rancho Santiago Community College District Reports Part-Time Santiago Canyon College Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19
Today the Rancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD) was notified that a part-time Santiago Canyon College (SCC) employee has tested positive for COVID-19. In coordination with local health officials and in accordance with the Clery Act and CDC guidelines, we have notified faculty, staff and students of the situation.
In an abundance of caution, the campus will be closed to all employees, including key essential employees, on Thursday, March 26, and Friday, March 27. Safety and Security personnel will be on site (outdoors) throughout the closure.
This situation does not impact temporary remote instruction or services, the District Office or Santa Ana College.
“The health and safety of our staff, faculty and students is our top priority,” stated Claudia Alvarez, Board of Trustees President, RSCCD. “We will continue to work closely with the Orange County Public Health Department to ensure all necessary measures and precautions are taken.”
